These irresistible beef and cheese croissants are flaky, cheesy, and packed with savory beef. Perfect for breakfast, lunch, or a satisfying snack, they’re easy to make and hard to resist!

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • Sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Cook the beef filling: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook for 3-4 minutes until soft. Stir in the garlic and cook for another minute.
  2. Add the ground beef, salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and Worcestershire sauce. Cook until the beef is browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes. Drain any excess grease.
  3. Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the cream cheese until melted. Let the mixture cool slightly, then mix in the shredded cheddar cheese.
  4. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  5. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate into triangles. Place a spoonful of the beef mixture on the wide end of each triangle. Roll the dough, starting from the wide end toward the tip.
  6. In a small bowl, whisk the egg and water. Brush the tops of the croissants with the egg wash and sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and flaky.
  8. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce or alongside a fresh salad.

Tips for the Perfect Beef & Cheese Croissants:

  • Let the beef mixture cool before filling the dough to avoid soggy croissants.
  • Use sharp cheddar for a bolder flavor, or try mozzarella for extra gooeyness.
  • Don’t overfill the croissants to prevent leakage while baking.
  • For a gourmet touch, add a pinch of dried thyme or rosemary to the beef mixture.
