Garlic Butter Lobster and Scallops

This garlic butter lobster and scallops dish is a decadent seafood delight, featuring tender lobster tails and succulent scallops drenched in a rich, garlicky butter sauce. Perfect for a romantic dinner or a special occasion meal.

  • Ingredients:
  • 2 lobster tails, split in half lengthwise
  • 12 large sea scallops, patted dry
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the seafood: Pat the scallops dry with a paper towel. Season the lobster tails and scallops with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. Heat the skillet: In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the scallops for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  3. Cook the lobster: In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil and place the lobster tails flesh-side down. Cook for 3-4 minutes, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the meat is opaque and tender.
  4. Make the garlic butter sauce: Reduce heat to medium-low. Add the butter and garlic to the skillet. Stir until the garlic is fragrant, about 1 minute. Stir in the lemon juice.
  5. Combine and serve: Return the scallops to the skillet, spooning the garlic butter sauce over the seafood. Sprinkle with fresh parsley.
  6. Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side.

Tips for Perfect Seafood:

  • Make sure scallops are completely dry before searing to get a golden crust.
  • Don’t overcook the lobster; it should turn opaque but remain tender.
  • Use fresh garlic for the best flavor in the butter sauce.
  • Serve with crusty bread or over pasta to soak up the delicious sauce.
